This is made of iridescent glass beads, but with the handmade star they end up looking like shells.
The large glass beads are intertwined with different seed beads.
It is a short necklace, not quite choker length, but resting high on the breastbone, at 18 inches long.

I've never had any reports of breakage, but I will repair anything that does break (within normal use).
