checkerboard choker

This beautiful and simple choker is centered on 3 double-sided shell discs joined by square handmade wire links.

Shell centerpieces:
The checkerboard pattern looks to be made of mother of pearl and abalone, but I'm not sure. The large oval in the center measures just over 1 & 1/2 inch by 1 & 1/4 inch, and the 2 side circles measure 1 inch by 1 inch.

The clasp is a handmade wire spiral hook.

The body of the choker, with each side measuring about 3 & 1/2 inches, is made of dark silver bugle beads in a right-angle weave.

The total length of the choker is about 15 inches.
